We recently stayed at the Petit Jean State Park and chose to have dinner and breakfast at Mather Lodge. The lodge is an old remodeled CCC building with a great view of the Cedar Creek Canyon. Our family of four loves a Thanksgiving vacation, and Petit Jean was by far our favorite. Imagine a place where you can keep two elementary-school-aged boys occupied without TV (and limited elec. games). The scenery was beautiful, the trails peaceful and not overcrowded. We camped there over the Easter Holidays april 09 and had a great time....there is so much to do in this the 1st state park in Arkansas, we hiked, you can fish. There is a 100 foot waterfall that you hike 2 miles to it is breathtaking you must hike.........WE HAD A GREAT TIME AND WILL GO BACK more
