We had made reservation for a non smoking suite but were told it was taken and we could use the smoking unit. We said ok if the smell was not too bad. Well, it was worse...the room smelled terrible and I had to spray cologne to make it somewhat livable. There was no shampoo in the room or any other... more

Check in went very well and the clerks at the desk were super friendly (thanks Heather, she was very sweet). There were three couples and they had us located next to each others rooms. I really hate to let everyone know about this fabulous place overlooking the Ouachita National Forest....it will be harder for us to get a reservation! Owned by Graydon Clark and run by his son Robert Clark, Backwoods Lodge and Cabins is also Mudchurn Outfitters/Ranch.
