Although the Kilimanjaro hike with Zara Tours (the tour operator of the hotel) was great, the actual hotel experience was quite poor. Moshi is a bustling, noisy city trading off Kilimanjaro's tourist draw. It's not a place you would necessarily stick around for but the lure of the mountain gives it plenty of trade. My wife and I stayed here while I visited colleagues working at KCMC. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful in directing us around town, calling cabs to KCMC and the airport, etc. Our room was very clean and while a bit on the small side it was still very inviting.
