Of the three Volcanoes safari lodges, Virunga was our least favorite. We expected a rustic lodge, so the ambience was fine, if a bit run-down. I have just returned from a 3 week trip to Rwanda and Tanzania. Sabinyo lodge was the first stop on an amazing journey. We spent 2 nights at the lodge on May 26th and 27th.
