The very best place we stayed in 10 days in Scotland. Gairloch is small and we arrived late but when we asked for something out of the ordinary ... we got it! Corrine and Ed are the very best hostess and host. We would have stayed longer if our plans had allowed it. The rooms were spacious , the bathrooms... more

We visited the pub for dinner on7th June 2009. The conservatory dining area at the front of the pub has great views over the water. But that's where the good experience ends. The food is very poor and much overpriced. The vegetarian options all looked like "ping" food on the menu, and when they arrived they looked and tasted unappetising.... more

We visited Raprtures on 4th June 2009. The food is simply fantastic and the restaurant is set in one of the prettiest locations on the west coast of Scotland. When booking I advised them that one of our party was vegetarian which resulted in a personalised menu delivered personally by the chef (and owner). Only 12 covers available so booking... more
