Stayed here one night for £31 inc breakfast. Given a double room with flat screen telly which was well decorated and furnished, and both bedroom and shower were clean. Ensuite spacious shower, shampoo etc. Friendly host and hostess. OK cooked breakfast with their own fresh eggs. The hostess even ironed a shirt for me for free! A quiet room, not... more

I'm surprised that someone has given this place a bad write-up! I have just returned from a 2 night stay at the Cottage and I found it to be absolutely lovely. The rooms and breakfast area are very clean, the beds were very comfy and the owners (Michele & Chris - and wee Rocky!) are incredibly friendly and welcoming -... more

Ok so we left it late and arrived in Honiton for a stop-off as 9pm approached. We drove past the Greyhound and I called to see about availability and prices. The fact that the kitchen was only open for a few more minutes kind of compelled us to accept their offer. £65 for bed and breakfast sounded reasonable so in... more

We should have read the reviews before booking ...... it looked so ideal on the picture ( which we are sure has been tampered with to hide the houses ) It is in the middle of a noisy estate.. not the romantic break we were looking for. On arrival all lights were off , the hotel looked dim and depressing.... more

My husband and i had the great pleasure of staying here. It was a fantastic place to stay and eat, Richard and Margaret are great hosts and have made this Inn a comfortable and homely place to stay and would highly recommend to everyone! . If Staying ask for the four poster bed, a lovely romantic room. more

This hotel underwent a total refurbishment a few months ago so is in fabulous condition. The rooms are tastefully decorated with all that you need for a business stay. There was even a mini ironing board and iron in the wardrobe. The bar next door is very trendy with friendly staff. Can get a bit noisy as they have live... more

This used to be a fantastic place to eat and drink..but on our latest visit, it was horrible, there were many items that were not available.... We were bitterly dissapointed. We would not recommend here anymore and would def not visit again...... more

My wife and I are often invited to arrive for lunch when we visit with family or friends in the zone between Reading and Portsmouth. It is too far to comfortably travel from our home in West Cornwall in a morning . The first time this happened, we contacted the Honiton Tourist Office. We like Hontion. It is a friendly... more

I am a local person who stumbled across the review below and I felt I must say something of my personal experience here. First of all this B&B is 4 star rated by Visit Britain. I have called in for cream teas since this B&B opened several years ago. The cream teas are delicious. The owners are delightful. Chatty, friendly... more

We booked a weekend break for our friends and ourselves about a month or so ago for the 12th to the 15th December. I spoke to Sarah-Jane on the phone with a few final queries and on speaking to her booked straight away because she was so pleasant and helpful, and may I say it Genuine. At last the weekend... more

A beautiful ye olde pub, nice surroundings, rooms, staff and especially the food, traditional food with big portions. when we arrived we were welcomed by big smiles and humour at the bar. the young gentleman that seemed to run the inn was very polite and helpful, i would recommend to stay here if you ever find yourself goin to the... more

Sarah Jane & Neil treat you as if you had entered their own home & that they had known you for years. The welcome is very warm and the food outstanding. Their plans for the hotel give the impression that detail is paramount. If you are looking for peace & quite, warmth and friendly service in a charming location. Look... more

Went to the Flintlock last night for my Grandfather and Brother's joint birthday. The service was extremely slow, the food when it finally arrived was cold and tasteless and the manager was rude and bullying. There was also a poor choice of food... I had to order a salad as that was all there was available for me to eat.... more

Stayed here one night with our family. Very up to date, Excellent breakfast, did exactly what is said on the tin. You would probably need to like dogs to stay here though, as they have 5. We do, so that was no problem. more

Yarcombe is a lovely part of the world - and well worth a trip through. Having read some of the reviews here I'd have to say I agree with the more negative ones. I've just returned from travelling around the south west I'm sorry to say that this was my least favourite place to visit. There's no disputing that it's... more
