My family and I stopped by the Red Onion on our way back to Kohl's Ranch from Show Low. The sign out front advertised "famous burgers" and we were not disappointed. A one night stay at Sawmill Inn just happened to be on our 38th wedding anniversary...first time to stay at the Inn on our way home from attending to personal business in N.M. Dave the manager was so friendly & as we chatted with him we mentioned our anniversary being that day. He recommended a great place for dinner closeby... more

We are frequent visitors to the area & had never been to the Red Onion so we finally decided to try it out. The service was good; quick & friendly. The hamburgers we had were undercooked and overpriced. Two of us spent about $30 for a typical burger, side & drink lunch. more
