We stayed in Arenal in September, 2008. This was the rainy season and I was hesitant about going there because of the rain. It did rain nearly every day but the experience was still great. Lovely small lodge all bases on eco tourism. There are only five small woodmade houses which are located in the forest. Don't expect luxury but pure nature.
