I stayed at the Highlander Hotel, Mount Hagen with a group of Australians travelling to a wedding in a Highlands village. This is the most secure and pleasant hotel in Mt. Hagen. The highlight is the restaurant which has a very pleasant ambiance with a wood fire and adjoining bar. The rooms are fairly ordinary, with little improvement since I last stayed in 1999. For the very high room tariff some improvements in the bed, bedding and bathroom would be expected.... more

15 years ago Air Niugini gave me a free educational tour package to Mt Hagen which was my first oversea tour and also most unforgettable tribal experience- thank God for his divine arrangement.
