Resort is wonderful. Absolutely beautiful location with stunning sunrises and sunsets. I did not do any diving at the resort itself, but saw squid, turtles, rays and lots of fish just by walking to and from meals in the restaurant. Visited Mabul SVW mainly for diving Sipadan. The transfers from Tawau was very efficient and we got to Mabul in good time. I booked a standard room and was upgraded to island view deluxe which was nice. Main difference really was that the size of room/batroom was a little larger with bath. Borneo in total was great and mataking island is a pretty littel spot, but the resort is absolutely overpriced!! after we arrived, we were sat down by the receptionist and had a army-like "briefing" about how to behave in the resort and how many towels to use.. we felt like in a scouts camp.
