A very beautiful island (needless to say) and very interesting underwater. Signs of fishbombs, but underwater life seems to be rejuvenating. I was there from the 11th to the 16th Dec 2009. We were greeted by Mataking staff at the airport and were transported to Semporna. It was a one hour speed boat ride to Mataking resort. We checked into the resort on 16NOV. Everything was made hassle free for us, there is no need to think about anything at all. The staff are all friendly and genuinely helpful. They took care of our luggages, food, dive trips, etc. I must say that Kapalai offers very good value - room with lots of space, a good variety... more
