We spent one night at the Kastel in August 2007. The hotel is placed in an old but recently renovated dark red building on top of a hill. Stayed here for the night on our travels in June. We stayed in the deluxe double room with balcony ( the only one with balcony in hotel). Room was lovely and very comfortable. Views of courtyard dining below and chestnut trees. Food is very good and breakfast was enjoyable. Motovun is a lovely old town and we enjoyed exploring it... more
