We stayed a bit after the national holiday for 6 nights at the Zen Garden hotel. We stayed at the less expensive section (not the Lion Hill). Stayed at the Banyan Tree in September.By far the best hotel I have stayed in.Excellent staff,nothing is too much trouble.Excellent food and service.Travellers cheques exchanged easily.stunning views over the lake.10 minutes walk to lijiang old town,a really nice chinese village,stunning at night.the spa is excellent,I would go back again & again. more

We stayed here based on the other reviews of this website and were not disappointed. We moved from another hotel in the old town of Lijiang which was very noisy, and the calm serenity of this hotel was wonderful. The rooms are large and well designed, with a glass walled bathroom.
