I have stayed in this hotel on three separate occasions for business staying on average 3 weeks at a time. While I have had a good experience staying in the hotel, the last two stays have been awful at best. The Good: 1) Location is great - good restaurants and shopping near by. What a great hotel. Very subdued elegance with a hip feel. Great neighborhood in Sao Paulo for running or shopping, no crime fears. Pretty rooms (that are showing a bit of wear and tear and I hope management is considering a renovations program). Only 4 rooms per floor, fewer when there are suites. The best hotel staff people. Lovely music (piano player), great bar, the VIP crowd of Brazil, great service, great foodl. Some renovations needed as you start to see little scratches and patches on wallpaper in hallways - not enough to make you annoyed but a warning that they have to close down for a couple of weeks and touch up to make it like new... more
