Nice hotel, clean rooms, good air conditioning, helpful staff,some with English, but most speak no English.3 blocks to the beach...taxi stand outside, breakfast OK but boring(SAME EVERY DAY!) if you stay more than a few days, but many cafes, coffee shops nearby are a better option for breakfast). Very expensive, around £100 per night for 1 person, shabby rooms and bathroom. If you need an ice bucket, an extra £3! Even if the fridge in the bedroom does not cool down the drinks. I spent a few months in Vitoria and vicinity and fell in love with the city. Every travel guide I have read dismisses Vitoria as just a dangerous backwater with nothing of interest.
