My Club Room was decorated in a modern style with very dark bed coverings in maroon which didnt help lighten the room because it was very dark even with all the lights turned on. We encountered an awful smell when we entered the hallway to our room. Fortunately, the room did not smell and so we stayed as it was only for one night. more

Typical chain hotel. Room smelt slightly musty/stale although was comfortable and clean enough. Overall felt a little dated. Guilin has plenty of reasonable places to eat so there was no need to try the hotel restaurant. Not sure about other similar hotels in Guilin but choice seemed limited and they all probably benefit from the unavoidable need to stay overnight... more
