The shangri la was an excellent hotel, the staff are very polite and obliging, restaurants are very good, breakfast is everything you could want and more! We stayed in the ocean wing which had a fabulous hot tub on the patio, all toiletries( L'Ocitane) were supplied including toothbrush, razor, comb, cotton buds and laundry powder. I have just returned form a trip with my family from here, the staff were amazing and rooms fantastic (hint try and book room 464 a garden wing ocean view suite huge with amazing views) the staff were very friendly and you saw the managers around all the time. We have stayed at numerous resorts throughout asia including several other resorts run by the Shangri-La group and I have to say that the Shangri-La Tanjung Aru was the most disappointing.
