The tour was booked via the Internet well in advance. June 21st duly arrived and we were picked up from the Westin bang on time. I've been to the Datai when it was newly built, about 15 years ago, and I was very impressed back then, partly because I was not an experienced traveler back then and also there were not many high end resorts in Asia during that time. Stayed there after much debating, the resort was great, we book the cheapest room (Garden view?) but were given a partial sea view with a big balcony. The pools and pool bar was nice, you can walk to the marina, there are lots of monkey running around. The pool villa look absolutely stunning. We didn't eat at the resort, so... more
