We booked two rooms on the second floor overlooking the inner courtyard. The 2-story B&B is just a few minutes from the streetcar station. Its about 2 miles west of the JR Hakodate station. The friendly lady inn-keeper provided us with detailed sightseeing information. Can't speak Japanese? Not a problem. She is fluent in English. Beds are western style-quite comfortable.... more

As an experienced traveller, I loved this hotel. The interior has captured the wabi sabi of the surrounding warehouse districts and yet is clean and new. The earthy decor, the pepper smells, the wonderful rooftop spa and relaxing top floor bars with views of Hakodate mountain makes one want to forget business and go and bring the family. A big... more
