Udaipur is the most romantic of cities and I am glad we chose to stay at the Heritage Rampratap Palace on the Fateh Sagar Lake. Spacious and clean rooms having stunning views from the windows of the garden and lake beyond. Across the road the hotel has a lovely garden restaurant with individual tents for tables. Jagata Niwas has a great view and food, to be enjoyed on the rooftop terrace, lit by fire stands, which make for a very romantic evening. Rooms at the top floors with view must be nice, unfortunately we were on the bottom floor, with hardly any windows in the room. Furniture is really nice, but we could do with a... more
