We stayed at the Miconia because the Lonely Planet had said it was easily the nicest place to stay and the price was $40/60. Unfortunately the prices had gone up considerably from the 2006 publishing of the book and prices were now $117 a night for the cheapest double room. We stayed here in Nov 2006. Location is excellent, you are right across from the dock in Puerto Moreno. You can hear the sea lions and enjoy ocean breezes all night. The hotel is small, I think maybe 4 rooms and each room sports murals painted by the owner's uncle who is a local artist. Definitely has charm. Our room... more
