I have stayed in many hotels in China whilst on business. I will always try to stay in the Marco Polo in Xiamen because its the best. It may not be the glossiest, it may not be full of glass panels and quirky designer features, it may not be trendy, but it is very comfortable and welcoming, friendly and caring.... more

I would not recommend this hotel in Xiamen. It is very average in all areas. Transfer service as described in previous reviews is excellent, creating big expectations ...but from there on in you will have no positive surprises. Rooms are alright, quite large with wifi. If you'll be in Xiamen for just a few days, stick with the local fare. There's plenty of options, and Fujian has some of the best seafood in China.
