Amasa, and old logging and mining town has very friendly people. The Amasa Hotel and the the Sawblade Bar serve food. A third Bar "Down Da Street" is a fun place. Tall Pines on US-141 has food and rooms. The traditional Fourth of July is still celebrated, as is Memorial Day and Ethnic Day. more
