Maybe we had bad luck with our room (we tried to swap, but couldn't) - but I found this place to be overpriced and half-finished. If you get the chance when travelling through Bolivia stop off in Potosi just to do this. Cerro Rico is a mining hill with a murderous history. It was state owned but in the 1980's there civil unrest and the government shut the mine and sacked all the workers. The workers gradually re-opened the mines, working as collectives and re-building... more
