First time to Hotel Minsk. Staff are wonderful, rooms are clean, but dated. Bathrooms are spotless, but they only give you one bath towel. Air conditioning worked (and it was hot/sticky one day). The base level price room is small, but typically European. There's a hot water maker in the room and one packet of instant coffee (and two tea... more

I've been in that amazing hotel for a business trip with my co-workers, what can I say - I am in love with "Europe"! It was just unbelivable! Yes, it is the most expensive hotel in the city, but if you know the price of the high quality and that it can never bee cheep - believe me, it is... more

This tour was poorly pre-planned. It was impossible to carry out the tour in 20 days to an acceptable level. The expectations for the tour - driving quite long distances to enable a reasonable amount of sightseeing - were not achieved. The tour treated us as guinea pigs; in that this was the first time it had been included in... more

The restaurant is located close to the city centre. One of the main reasons to go here is to taste the beer. It's a combined microbrewery and restaurant. The interior and atmosphere is nice and the food is tasty. The menu features severeal interesting local dishes, and the beer is very tasty. Menues are available in english both at the... more

For all of us who love gloomy and dark soviet style hotels in eastern europe (who doesn't?) this is as close to heaven as you get. Hotel Belarus is a charming hotel i soviet 60:s or 70:s style with dark corridors, awkward passages, strange doors and gloomy hallways - I love it! The service personel is harsh but correct and... more

This is a nice, basic hotel; the hallways and the furniture in the room are outdated, for western standards, but everything works properly. Rooms are not noisy, and come with a TV set that also includes CNN and 2 German channels. Location is good - short walk along the main road to the city centre, or you can walk along... more

A guided tour is the best way to go around. You get to find out many symbolic things. The bell is designed to ring every 4 seconds to remind the visitors that every 4th Belarusian dies in WWII. The monument of a man carrying his dead son out of the fire is striking - especially knowing that from the whole... more

The hotel is a tall typical Soviet style hotel building next to the river Svislach. The hotel is located at the Pobediteley avenue which is one of the main roads leading to the city centre (where it changes name to Lenina street). The "old town", Island of Tears and the Cathedral of the Holy Spirits is reached within about 10... more

What constitutes a luxury hotel in Minsk is comparable to lower- to mid-type American hotels, but we were grateful for the Orbita. It's clean and pleasant enough. Be forewarned: the beds are hard, and the sheer curtains let in all light, which makes sleeping more difficult. We couldn't have slept without "chemical enhancement" (sleeping aids such as anti-histamine). Our friends... more

Good hotel - very central - well heated in winter. Internet access is free, but only available in the lobby, which is full of smokers. Restaurant is OK (menu with English translation). At night : female pianist + violinist + opera singer entertain the customers. more

I would like to start this review by saying that we didn’t actually stay in Crowne Plaza hotel but we did use one of their facilities and that’s what happened. During our recent trip to Minsk we were celebrating our fifth wedding anniversary and after a great meal in the restaurant we decided to continue our night in one of... more

The hotel has an Excellent location, in a park right in the center of town. It is out-dated and very basic but the rooms are clean and the stuff is friendly. Breakfast should be taken in the restaurant on the top floor (if is not in the price of the room – is worth while to pay a little extra... more

I guess people in Belarus are trying to attract more tourists that's why I was treated like a king in this hotel. In some situations I felt uncomfortable because I was doint toooooo much for me. Another thing suprised me... employees don't demand tips and even refuse to take it in some situations. Rooms, service, location, restaurant... everything was more... more

Stayed in "Minsk" during the month of July and totally enjoyed it. Clean, modern, fully equipped hotel that didn't make us regret the money spent. Rooms a bit on a smaller side of things, dut nevertheless very comfortable and hygienic. Loved the bathrooms. Service very good, but have a bit of patience with the staff - language barrier. more

I stayed here as part of a group earlier this year and found the hotel absolutely fine for our needs. Check in was very straightforward, the foyer area is large and spacious. There was a wee coffee shop which was great. The rooms were clean and comfortable, although perhaps a bit dated in decor. I agree with the previous comments... more

Lumpy potato(e) Pancakes are delicious when syrup is added. Tasted abit like home away from home. May I add the Primo of Cuisine - stuffed pepper expertly prepared with the combination of pork\beef deliciously prepared in the tomato sauce with the hint of vodka for umph and garnished on top with sour cream. Almost nutrious. Finally the soup was almost... more

I'm a great fan of Priority Club PointBreaks, so a four night trip to Minsk was too good a deal to resist. Our room was superb, very comfortable, warm, super bathroom with seperate tub and shower. A flat screen TV had channels from most of Europe, one odd thing was all light switches were master switches - even the bedside... more

If you want a quiet place to stay and only come for a weekend you are most likely to get a room here. The place is owned by some educational establishment and is occupied by the students during the week, so Saturday and Sunday nights are available. Crowne Plaza has done an excellent job training its staff as everyone seemed to be genuinely interested in whether my stay was okay. The front desk and concierge speak English extremely well or got someone right away to assist if need be. The cleaners were pleasant as well, as were the waitresses and cook in the restaurant. Sounds strange to... more
