At first, it seemed dreary & shabby, probably because we arrived past midnight. The rooms we got (rooms 2 & 8) smelled a bit musty & dusty so we requested to be moved downstairs to rooms 16 & 23. This property is owned by the same people that run Sacha Lodge. It is located in La Floresta part of Quito which is a quaint and safe neighborhood. Casa Aliso arranged transportation to and from the airport for us. They also arranged for a local English-speaking guide to take us around Quito for the day. The rooms are very comfortable... more
