Stayed here for 4 nights, we were absolutely charmed by this hotel! It's calm, no streetnoise, just outside of the busy centre (15 minutes, or between 10.000/20.000 rupias away from centre by becak, which is about 1 euro) Breakfast staff was very friendly, reception staff also. We spent 4 nights in november in the Phoenix Hotel, and we enjoyed all of our stay. The hotel building itself, in its style and architecture, is beautiful. Very comfortable, helpful staff. And a superb buffet breakfast. With a 15mn walk you are in the city centre, along the famous Malioboro street, for shopping or dining. You get great value... more

We chose Hotel Ibis for its comfort and location. This hotel is a short walk/pechak ride from the main railway station, in the middle of the shopping district and within walking distance to most of the sights.
