We spent two nights at the Hotel Longchamps after seeing all the glowing reviews on Tripadvisor. We ended up quite disappointed. Yes, it's in a nice, quiet neighborhood, where you can walk around to find restaurants or stores. We were in two rooms, which were reasonably sized, with decent bathrooms. We .. my wife and 10 yr old son .. stayed at the Semiramis for 2 nights. The hotel is situated downtown by the Nile and costs about LE 75/- from the airport by a private 'limousine' (Mitsubishi Lancer!). The hotel offers a pick-up service which costs much much more.
