The hotel is situated close to the shwedagon pagoda just beyond the main city centre. It's a modern international standard hotel, the rooms are clean and those at the front have a view of the pagoda. My wife and I just returned from eating a L'Opera. There are 2 locations in Yangon. We went to the main one on U Tan Nyein Road. Don't let the nearly dirt road leading up to the restaurant deter you. We were in Rangoon when 50th Street reopened with new management and they had a massive party. The building was amazing, an old colonial villa with exposed brick walls and old enamelled advertising signs everywhere, leather booths and a funky modern staircase leading up to the top floor where there was more seating and another bar.
