After changing the name and management from Sheraton to Markazi, the hotel has lost its whole prestige, service level, proficiency and courtesy. The Intercontinental Tashkent is set in an area where government buildings set the landscape, but there is a Metro stop right outside the hotel (remember your passport copy/visa copy to avoid getting held by the platform police), and taxis are cheap and plentiful.
