Overall the Arusha Hotel is ok, certainly by African standards. The service in the restaurants and bar was dismal with orders for drinks taking as long as 45-60 minutes even though there is lots of staff. We were climbing Kili, and stayerd there before and after. Our tour company had booked it for us, and after looking at the website, we were quite excited to get there. I stayed at this hotel before climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. The hotel arranged both the stay and trek up Kili. The hotel is nice, clean and safe and located a short 10 min drive to the Marangu park gate. It is located "by itself" but if you have time some staff member would be happy to show you around Marangu village... more
