Battle's is one of my all time favorite restaurants. Located near campus, but off the main road, once you find it, they have you hooked. They serve their sandwiches with either mild or hot BBQ sauce, and regular potato chips and a pickle! Good price and small dining atmosphere. ALSO available for take-out! more

Hickory Park is an above average American-style restaurant. Great atmosphere with well- priced, DELICIOUS food. Any time you are in Ames, Hickory Park is the place to go. I know people who drive an hour to Ames just for supper! yum! more

Happy Joe's is a great pizza place for children's birthday parties. You can watch them as they prepare, and there is also a game area where you can win tickets for prizes. Good food!!! more
