Tropical Storm Fay

Tropical Storm Fay is stalled over central Florida, bringing torrential rains that have caused flooding in some areas. The storm is forecast to linger before heading north and west. It is not expected to become a hurricane. There is a tropical storm warning from Fort Pierce, Florida, north to Altamaha Sound, Georgia. A tropical storm watch is in place from Altamaha Sound north to the Savannah River.

I'm going to have to really think before booking on Hotwire again as this is the second TERRIBLE booking I've gotten through them. You know as you're driving into the area that this isn't going to be a good experience. The "neighborhood" boasts numerous scantilly-clad pedestrians, shuttered businesses, 6-foot high weeded parking lots, etc. Filth from the time you arrive... more

Pros: Marriott service, Marriot quality beds, well maintained hotel. Cons: A/C units struggle to keep up with the Georgia summer air; the slowest elevator in the East; Front Desk personnel frequently A.W.O.L. Overall, as good as you can do in this town. My #1 choice in ALbany, Georgia. more
