“Unfit for consideration as a place to stay in Krakow”

My wife, three kids and I spent four nights at the Oko. It does not deserve the name "Pensionat" and was an awful disappointment in several ways. #1. They demanded payment in full for our four-nights stay UP FRONT, even though we had already put down a deposit equal to one night's stay. This is extremely unusual and fishy. #2.... more

Recently, I took my three teenagers to Krakow to vist Auschwitz. We stayed at the Hotel Spatz and were very pleased with it. The old Jewish Quarter, where it is situated, is full of narrow streets with very bohemian cafes and restaurants. We were there for three nights and ate very reasonably (circa £25 for four) at three different restaurants.... more
