The Rooster is in no way inventive. They serve classic (northern) French cousine - big, hearty and well prepared. The duck is a favourite but there's so many good items on the (n ever changing) menu. Good wine list, great ambience but maybe a little too generous on the serving size. Rather that than to small portions though. more

This is simply one of the best places I have stayed in. The host, Peter, was very friendly and helpful. When we arrived in the afternoon, he provided us with afternoon tea.
