Unlike other apartment hotels we've stayed in this one had enough kitchen equipment to actually to do some proper cooking. Well equiped otherwise too, with a massive bed, huge TV and a spa bath etc. The hotel itself had very friendly and helpful staff, a decent ground floor outdoor pool and rooftop jacuzzi/spa with good views of the sea. A wonderful lady running this cafe - with great personal service and the most fantastic gourmet menu I have ever seen - for such a beautiful surf beach. She couldn't do enough to make us more comfortable or more satisfied. We didn't want to leave! LOL My husband even got talking with her husband and had a good chin wag.... more
My stay at Sandcastle at the beach was a great getaway from sydney. The ocean views were stunning and having a kitchen meant I could save money by not having to dine out every night. more
