“Comfortable but poor value for money”

Accommodation is comfortable but not special enough to be described as 'boutique'. We stayed in a 5 star hotel in Marlborough ( with dinner included ) for less. Tasteful decor, with comfy bed and great views. Modern kitchenette and good bathroom. Jane was friendly. Clean. Breakfast was standard (could maybe do some eggs) nice window bay, nice touch giving some home made fudge cake. Really excellent stay - A shame we could only stay one night. “Excellent place to stop for Milford Sound”

We stopped here after a trip to Milford Sound and before setting off for Wanaka so we were only using it as a stopover but were very pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. We had breakfast which was great and reasonable price. Clean and smart room. more
