I was expecting to pull up to this 5 star masterpeice, however the place needs some overhauling to bring it up to spec...We had a private ranger/driver day over the Island which was very good, but I think personally the place was understaffed dramatically, we waited 20 minutes at dinner to get a desert menu as well...We stayed 3 nights,... more
First impression of the Kingfisher Bay resort is of a quality resort is a stunning location. However this experience will quickly fade as you interact with the staff. While the individual staff members appear to be doing their best, they are totally overwealmed (meaning not enough staff), and/or performing duties they are are simply not qualified or able to do.... more
The resort is well integrated in the landscape, barely visible when approaching the island. There is a good luggage and guest pick up service from/to the ferry station in Hervey Bay.
