We stayed for 6 nights at "The Boathouse": It is a perfect villa, 2 floors with a beautiful balcony overlooking the river. It's fully equipped - simply a dream ! We explored all the nice beaches, it was an absolutely relaxing stay. Thanks to Howard & Yannick. And for Yannick: thanks for the coffee beans with chocolate, apologies - we... more

The staf at this hotel is amazing and you can tell they love what they do, front desk staff Emma Thomas is truly gifted at her job. The restaurant staff was fabulous and the rooms were big, clean and right close to transit, after travelling from Canada it was well worth the trip! more

For our anniversary, my husband and I bought tickets to the theatre and we thought we would treat ourselves to a 5 star experience at the Shangri La Hotel . We decided on the Darling Harbour room where we were looking forward to "Enjoy panoramic views over Millers Point, Darling Harbour, Walsh and Lavender Bays and west through to the... more

Fantastic place to stay. Would recommend booking direct with Meriton for best price. Really spacious 3 bedroom apartment for family of 6. Couldn't have got better value for money. Having the supermarket below in World tower shops makes an even better venue with a family. Will definately stay again with family. more

My partner and I staid recently at these apartments and it was not a pleasant stay. The apartments are extremely grotty. Just to go through a few issues that I had; the windows were so dirty it was difficult to see out, there was mould all over the shower, the cover of the ventilation shaft was missing and had a... more

An excellent city centre hotel fully deserving of its superior status. Using the Executive Lounge, we made full use of the extensive buffet breakfast, complimentary afternoon tea and early evening canapes and drinks from the bar. The staff being extremely professional and attentive at all times. I would highly recommend this hotel and would certainly use it again, should I... more

This place is disgusting, DO NOT stay here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My skin crawled the whole time I stayed here, the dishes where dirty, there was a pigeon's nest on the balcony, the bathroom stinked of pee and was covered in mould. The place is a good 20 minute walk from Bondi Beach and there is a nasty hill to climb on the... more

Ok, honestly I had some trouble to find this place, but I think the reason to that more was an effect of my 30 hours long journey from Sweden. Anyway, the hostess - Helen - stood on the balcony and waved me in with a big smile on her face. The apartment is really fresh and modern, with a big... more

We had stayed in this hotel twice before. The first time was great. The second time not so good, but they had been reallt busy - completely booked out before we arrived, and we put problems down to that. This time, however there were no excuses. There will not be a fourth stay at this hotel. They admitted to me... more

We stayed in room 105, had a patio that opened up right onto the beach. The price was (about 175 a night) very reasonable for such a nice location, had a gorgeous view of the bay. It was extremely serene and lovely, there is a walk behind that hotel that you can take and see wild koalas munching on gum... more

We loved the room on the 28th floor with the most fantastic view over the Harbour. Sitting on the window seat early one morning, we watched as a large cruise ship passed the Opera House and sailed under the Bridge. The staff were all very polite and helpful, even the housekeeping staff we passed in the corridor on our way... more

Even if you book for children, you may find they don't have a separate bed when you arrive and you will be charged extra for a rollaway that makes a "King Suite" VERY squishy and uncomfortable. Hotel is difficult to access by car (lots of 1 way streets) and carparking is at Entertainment Centre. Easy to get to but not... more

Excellent location for the price. Just minutes walk from ferry, beach & beautiful fairlight walkway around the harbour. All freshly painted & beautiful federation style accom. Bathroom tight & hot water not reliable, however, expect that for the price & age of building. A bit of mould on the tiles though.Continental breakfast okay, but would have liked some decent coffee... more

Hotel room sized but with the added bonus of a fully equipped kitchenette, table & chairs. GREAT service from Paulo on reception. District room overlooked the main street which was very noisy (although traffic noise doesn't bother me). Harbour rooms @ the back should be quieter but are more expensive. Washing machines & dryers on every floor - very handy... more

Location good for exploring the city / Darling Harbour. Near China Town. Near Monorail station. Basic, clean, kettle, fridge, good shower. Had a room with 3 beds even though I was travelling alone. I was there for 2 weeks so it was nice to have the space. Overlooked an alley though so no view & could hardly see the sky... more
