From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel really welcome. The hotel has a Belle Epoque exterior and a chalet/inn style interior and is separated from its lakeside terrace by a road, but the village was so quiet at night that traffic noise was not an issue. Sometimes last-minute breaks mean compromising on hotels - taking what is available. I chose Hotel Gerbi because it had its own beach for swimming in the lake and looked quite pleasant.
