I stayed at the garden house hotel from Nov 08 to Dec 09,+ found it a thourghly enjoyable experience. The staff were extremely curteous + helpful, the owners Janet + John Finlayson made you very welcome just like home from home. Finally but definately not lastly the hotel cuisine was wonderful, first class chefs. more
Have visited this restaurant many times over the last few months since it opened. Lunches are delightful in sunny weather as they can be taken outdoors under umbrellas on the beautifully decorated large patio area. Simple British dishes offer excellent value and their wine is very modestly priced. Usually £6.95 for main course. Homemade ice creams are to die for.... more
Recently went to lunch with 3 friends. Only wanted light lunch as I was dining out in evening. Ordered Game Terrine as a starter. You will not believe how it was served, I didn't either and still can't. It was served as two slices of terrine, one very thin, deep fried and greasy on a few soggy salad leaves accompanied... more
