Travelled to Monte Carlo - six women - and stayed for 3 nights at the Novotel. Superb location (nr station, 10 mins walk from casino square), beautiful pool area with plenty of sunbeds and great food served, large rooms with balconies overlooking the pool garden and with stunning views over the harbour and palace/cathedral. The Port Palace Hotel in Monte Carlo is rated as 4+ star hotel. One would presume that in a city where the richest and presumable the most demanding of clientele go to vacation, this would to be one of the best hotels one could find.
