If you want to splurge in Reykjavik, this is the place. If you get one of the rooms with a balcony, I think its the best you can do, and thats saying a lot in a city with some great hotel options. Ive stayed in many hotels in Reykjavik and loved them all, but 101 is near perfection. I didnt... more

a bit out of town center (not walking distance, yet local bus stop nearby), otherwise good. had excellent view for the new year fireworks from our room. free internet available. more

I've stayed at Hotel Cabin twice. 2007 and 2008 As a new and nervous traveller from Scotland, I have to say it offered home from home comfort. Modern and comfortable. Staff on reception reasonably helpful. Breakfasts abundant. We did feel a bit squashed in our room with 3 of us but as we were literally just sleeping there before going... more
