I stayed for two nights. The spacious room (called superior room) was located on the fifth floor and was very fresh, quiet, clean, modern, with comfortable bed and a clean and modern bathroom (with a large bathtube!). Since then it has undergone its most recent transformation into a stylish hotel, with rooms have been fitted with Alvar Aalto furnishings and Harri Koskinen block lamps (The Helka started out as a Finnish version of the YWCA in the late 1920s!).
