This hotel is a slave to its architect/designer. Although set in beautiful gardens, the buildings resemble a Swiss clinic for unmentionable diseases more than a luxurious hotel. A great city to explore with many shops spread over a large area . The island itself holds unique attractions and if you the time take the strawberry world couch tours that can take you all round the island is really worthwhile ... we loved the place so much we bought a house there ..... We stayed for a week & returned yesterday. The hotel staff are very friendly & helpful & the service is great & unobtrusive. We enjoyed eating in the restaurant twice, had lunch twice & tea on the roof terrace is a must. It is convenient for other restaurants closeby too. The gardens are a great bonus, they are beautifully kept.... more
