Went to avalon for lunch, really nice cosy restaurant, good value for lunch, the service was great and all the dishes were described to us perfectly as we couldnt translate too much of the menu. All dishes vegetarian. Easy to find in patershol, cross bridge to castle from Groentenmarkt and keep walking more

We stumbled across pakhuis behind the main shopping street on one of our days in ghent, decided to book, they only had one table for 2 at 9.45 on sat night and that was at midday, which we booked as pakhuis was recommended to us.
