The Musei Vaticani is absolutely HUGE! There is so much to see, that it would months, if not years, to see and appreciate everything. Like others, I would also recommend visiting with a guide if it's your first time. Also start in the morning. Be prepared for crowds and lines everywhere, regardless of which day you visit.
