I was visiting Rome to watch Fulham play AS Roma in the Europa Cup. I was only there for two nights and so location was really important as I didn't want to spend ages travelling in and out of the city. The Hotel Ascot is in a fantastic location just a 5 minute walk from Rome Termini - the main... more

This is the third time we have stayed at this hotel and again we were not disappointed. The staff on reception are always freindly and helpful. Comlimenatary coffee and juice are available . The hotel may be a little out of the way of central Rome but is nof far from Termini whichi has a metro stop for both lines.... more

We would definitely stay here again! The service was right on and we were super comfortable. The beds were not exactly five star, but everything else was great. The neighborhood is safe and always busy, but not too loud. Five minute walk to the nearest metro stop, so really easy to move around from here. more

Spent 5 days with Mother(88yrs) & Sister and found it to be a delightful sanctuary from the hustle bustle. Vivianna & Miguel were delightful hosts. No requests were too difficult to fulfil. Have recommended B & B to many friends and would not stay anywhere else in Rome. more

This was our first trip to Rome, and as such, all we really needed was just a bed for the night, in a reasonably convenient location, and Casa Linnea was this and more. Anna, the owner, met us on arrival, gave us a map and advised on places to go, nearest bus and tube stops, tourist information, supermarkets and so... more

We were most impressed by the friendly and helpful attitude of all the staff - good English was spoken by most. Our room was comfortable although there was no view. The bathroom was spacious and well-equipped. Breakfast was excellent with a wide choice. We were able to walk to the Colosseum (15 minutes)and many ancient Roman sites - metro and... more

I was in this hotel in September with my friends. We went to Roma for vacations. Frankly speaking, we really enjoyed our stay there. Yes, the rooms are not very big, but they are enough comfortable for 3 persons, and the staff in hotel was really very friendly! We also liked the location of the hotel, it is not far from... more

I stayed in Rome for 4 days with my girlfriend and 16-year-old daughter. The Hotel Santa Maria was great. The room was spacious and clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. The area is not too touristy, but the location is pretty central. I definitely recommend it. more

My sister and I stayed for a week in July 2009. The hotel is about 200 meters from the main Railway station, and a similar distance from Republica metro station. Not the best area, but two women felt no fear walking around at night. The furniture is wonderful; ornate, veneer mosiac antiques. Fabulous. It even has one of those beautiful... more

We had Gabriel for the Vatican Tour. He is American and was very easy to understand, and his knowledge was impressive. We were in Rome for a week, and this tour was one of our highlights. We were worried that a 5 hour tour would be tiring, but thought a shorter tour wouldn't be long enough for Vatican City. The... more

5 of us stayed here following a football match. Is very well situated for the Station and various sites in Rome. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast good. The rooms are quite small, but for our purposes this did not matter. They staff let us leave our bags the day we left as we wern't getting a return... more

The location of the Baltic was decent - we were within 2 blocks from many restaurants (keep in mind most close during that mid-afternoon break). It's a good walk from the train station, but that's a major hub which was convenient. The lobby of the Baltic, same as where you have breakfast, was small - and in order to use... more

The last two reviews are hard to understand and we can only speak from our own experience. We visited the restaurant on 5th November and had a wonderful time. The food was exceptional, particularly the raw fish starter. Special mention to "Romeo" a waiter in a million. Recently he has returned from retirement and he must be over 70 years... more

This hotel is a real jewel. We stayed at another hotel in the same area for 2 nights, and then switched to the Cellini, and it was the best hotel we had for our entire trip in Italy. It really was a step above the others. Beautiful room, great bathroom, and a lovely covered outside patio area to sip wine... more

We arrived at the "hotel" mid afternoon, thinking we had walked into the wrong place. However; this turned out to be the reception area. It turned out the hotel was having extensive renovation works done to it. We WERE NOT told anything about this by thomson, the hotel or great best western. The website did not say anything about the... more
