Hotel Altair is really fantastic small Hotel, one of our favorites on a month long trip and an excellent value. The "centro urbano" of Santiago is rather small, so everything is close by, but the Hotel is not in the "heart" of the cathedral area.. Fed up of the chains - this hotel is for you. Recently refurbished in good style. Quiet neighbourhood close to the main cathedral. Breakfast seems almost like staying at a B&B.
