Hotel Altair is really fantastic small Hotel, one of our favorites on a month long trip and an excellent value. The "centro urbano" of Santiago is rather small, so everything is close by, but the Hotel is not in the "heart" of the cathedral area.. This Parador looks wonderful, but the servicee and especially the restaurant were absolutely rock bottom. We had booked it for three nights to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday - we left after one. I wrote a long and detailed letter to the parent organisation who took two months to reply with a computer generated standard letter. No offer was made... more

The staff were extremely helpful from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The hotel is clean and well kept and we had no problem with noise.
