I rate this food somewhere from poor to average. Service is capable. They serve Andalusian prepared meats and stews. It is popular with tourist tours. Nothing stood out for me or my family. They serve the equivalent of comfort, diner-style food. If that's your thing, go for it. Family friendly. This restaurant would not make my top 10 list of... more

This ex-pat run hotel is about 8 kilometers outside Ronda. Sits in a olive and almond grove against a mountain. The restaurant is reserved for hotel guests, but exceptions are made if you call a one day in advance. Special place. Sit outside if you can. more

Have eaten at this restaurant, plus sister restaurants in Seville and Washington, DC. Extraordinary service, food and wine experience. Family friendly. Please note this restaurant is NOT in Ronda, but San Pedro de Alcantara, near Marbella. more

The sun is setting for Tragabuches. Ten years ago, it was a destination dining spot. Ronda's first Michelin restaurant. Today, it's a shadow of its former self. My family has eaten at this restaurant dozen times since 1999. Each year, the food has grown more mediocre and and the service is embarrassingly bad. I wish the chef would spend more... more

Just got back from a fortnight at Punta Lara where we stayed in a villa hired from owners direct. It was a lovely size and a credit to it's owner. We were led to believe by the advert it was a 10-15 minute walk to town but it took us 45 minutes with our daughter in her pushchair. The main... more

One of the top three restaurants in Ronda is the 15-table Albacara restaurant at Hotel Monteliro. My wife and I have owned a home in the old quarter of Ronda for ten years. She has managed top restaurants in Seattle and San Francisco. This is the 1st restaurant that we take our house guests in Ronda. If you are a... more

We had booked the property thro RCI for a week. We had taken two 2 bedroom apartments. We also had access to their other properties . Free shuttle buses to the beach was also available. The apartments were very comfortable and spacious. We also had a huge terrace attached for sunbathing but we used the property to explore places around malaga... more

We stayed here for two nights. It's one of the most unusual places we've ever stayed, with colorful folk art throughout and even an indoor garden room. It's only a five minute walk (albeit a very steep one) to La Ciudad, the beautiful old quarter. A real plus is that you can drink all the beer and sherry you want... more

After hearing about 'the bug' I was a bit concerned.... but I didnt have to be. Although my son was sick, we put it down to too much sun.... and please be careful because although there is a lovely breeze, it is extremely hot. I would say a lot of the 'bug' views could be due to over indulgence because... more

We thought it would be a fun change in pace to visit the donkey sanctuary on our vacation. The staff is friendly, the animals happy to see you, and it is a wonderful cause. The staff will give you carrots and bread to feed the animals. There are donkeys, goats, pigs, and even a huge turkey who will eat out... more

We ate here for dinner one evening since we had a taste for Italian. The food was great and quickly served. Food was brought quickly, but then the server did not check back on us again for the duration of the meal.... more

This guesthouse is by far the best place to stay in Nerja. The location is fantastic, the owners are friendly and helpful, and you can't beat the price. The directions from the bus stop to the guesthouse are spot on. It is a 10-minute walk, mostly downhill. The rooms are adequate size and are spotlessly clean with clean linens and... more

Sloans is a wonderful little restaurant and easy to find near The Parador, with parking close by. The quality is consistant and the staff are extremely friendly and obliging. Booking is advisable as it is a very popular restaurant with both visitors and residents. If you fancy something that is not on Sam´s menu - just ask, he will usually... more
